FIRE EXTINGUISHERS

Fire extinguishers are the most popular fire protection means. A fire extinguisher is a simple and effective tool that allows you to extinguish the fire or ignition at the initial stage, which is the most important factor in material and human resources loss reduction. The use of fire extinguishers in Latvia is governed by the Fire Safety Regulations.

Fire extinguishers, like any equipment should be maintained in working order, as an inoperative essential fire protection device is worse than non-existent. Fire extinguisher readiness to use is governed by the Latvian standard LVS 332 "The keeping of fire extinguishers in operative condition."
